- Bio: Born in Pasadena, California Aug. 25, 1946, raised in the San Fernando Valley (Granada Hills), began surfing at age 18 while attending Cal-State Univ., Northridge from 1964-69. Spent most of my surfing time at Malibu, Secos, and County Line. Attended Humboldt State Univ. from 1969-71 where I put surfing on the back burner. Moved to Del Mar from L.A. in 1976. Married Phyllis Warren in 1977. Two children, Jennifer age 24 and Max age 20. Retired from Lockheed Martin in 2007.
